Provoking the future: school libraries, pedagogy and technology
In 2015 the Australian School Library Association’s conference will be held at at The Playhouse, Women’s College, University of Queensland on Tuesday 29 September and Wednesday 30 September 2015 with an optional day for school library and book shop tours on Thursday 1 October.
The theme of the conference is Provoking the future: school libraries, pedagogy and technology.
The Australian School Library Association Inc. (ASLA) is the national authority, a peak forum, in the field of teacher librarianship and school library resource services.
The themes in the conference title accept that school libraries in Australia have a diverse and dynamic future. ASLA shares your commitment to quality education and improved student outcomes. We are committed to providing access to contemporary thinking, research and commentary to assist schools to examine the current and identify opportunities to develop school libraries.
The conference will include contributions from a diverse range of speakers who will challenge your thinking, extend your professional network and transform your practice. We will focus on dynamic strategic initiatives, which will challenge delegates to ensure that as an agent of change, their ideas are relevant, responsive and innovative.
