ASLA Citation Award guidelines

The ASLA Citation Award is made for an outstanding contribution to the National Leadership of Teacher Librarianship in the following professional fields

  • Policy formulation
  • Programme implementation
  • Publication
  • Administration of the Association
  • Research
  • Innovation
  • Education (interpreted in broad terms)

The Citation Committee shall consist of

  • Chairperson - ASLA Vice President - Association Relations
  • Member - Immediate Past President (or the President's nominee)
  • Member - Past recipient

Nominations should be called for through the National Council to each Member State or Territory at least four (4) months prior to the next Biennial Conference.

Nominations should be forwarded to the Executive Officer who shall pass them onto the Chairperson of the Committee.

It shall be the Chairpersons responsibility to ensure that the members of the Committee are provided with the criteria sheets and copies of the nomination materials.

The award shall be presented at the Biennial Conference.

The Chairperson shall provide a copy of the citation to the next National Council, immediately following the Biennial Conference.

The Chairperson shall provide a copy of the citation for publication in the Association journal.

The Chairperson shall arrange for the printing of the citation.
