Australian School Library Association (Northern Territory) Inc.

ASLA (NT) is the only professional organisation in the Northern Territory involved in the development of school libraries and the practice of teacher librarianship.

ASLA (NT) aims to keep members informed about ongoing developments and trends through:

• supporting the continuing development of school libraries
• promoting teachers and teacher librarians as equal partners in the design and implementation of curriculum
• providing forums to foster the exchange of ideas and information concerning school libraries and information literacy
• supplying information about school libraries to administrators, teachers, parents, unions and the general public
• professional guidance; and
• making representation in public debate regarding matters of concern to school libraries and their staff.
