 Connecting to a Teleconference

1. Ring the appropriate number below.
2. After the voice prompt, enter the conference PIN.
The conference PIN number for participants is 45359#.
3. When you are told you are "now connecting to" the teleconference, please announce yourself by saying your name after the tone.
4. If the teleconference has not commenced, you will be put on hold till the teleconference moderator (convenor) joins – be patient and hang on.

Hobart (03) 6240 0695 Rest of Tasmania 1800 333 803

For Australian areas not listed above, please use the toll free number
1800 333 803

If you are the minute secretary... you will need to obtain a recording of the teleconference. Do so, please, by following these steps:

 1. Telephone our teleconference service provider, Enterprise Care, on 1800 80 84 80 no later than 13 days after the meeting (otherwise the recording gets wiped). You can ring after we finish on the night of the meeting.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not the number for connecting to teleconferences!
2. You will need to give them your name, the name of the company that booked the teleconference, and the teleconference's PIN, date and time (AEST/AEDT).
3. Indicate which format you prefer for the recording: CD, cassette, or microtape which they will mail to you, or an audiorecording they can e-mail to you for you to save to your own computer (you will need Mediaplayer to play this). I always ask for the reliable CD.
4. Give your mailing address
5. If you have not received the recording within 3 days of requesting it, ring them again. That 13-day deadline is absolute.

When you take the minutes, aim to forward your draft to the convenor within a fortnight of the meeting. The convenor will proof-read and distribute the minutes to ASLA-Tas Executive listserv.
