2008: WA School Library Conference hosted by WASLA and AISWA Libraries - Avenues to the Future: Imagine, Inspire, Interact, 13th and 14th June 2008 at Wesley College, South Perth.

2008: SLAQ 2008 - Take Flight - Motivate, Innovate, Celebrate, 21st to 23rd September 2008 at All Hallows' School (situated on the Brisbane River in the CBD), Brisbane, Queensland.
The three conference strands:

  • Literature: children's literature, YA literature, reading, authors, illustrators;
  • Learning: information literacy, Web 2.0 technologies, interactive classrooms;
  • Leadership: management, professional development, digital schools

will bring together teacher librarians, school library personnel and other educators interested in school libraries to provide opportunities to confront, discuss and critically analyse the challenges and issues facing those working in the field today. A range of sessions will be offered across theme-targeted days, allowing delegates the flexibility of one day registration focussing on a strand or full registration covering all strands.
