A new school year offers the opportunity to set (or reset) the tone, culture, and direction of your library’s impact. In this practical session, we’ll explore how to launch the library year with clarity and confidence. From planning your calendar and refreshing your physical and digital spaces to re-establishing programs, reading culture, and advocacy goals, this webinar will guide you through the essential strategies for planning for success.

We’ll look at how to balance overwhelming demands and daily tasks with vision and setting achievable goals that align with your school’s strategic priorities, while ensuring the library staff feel prepared for the year ahead. You’ll gain practical ideas for displays, events, collection management, and communications, along with tools for tracking and demonstrating your library’s value from the very start of the year.

Whether you’re leading a busy library team or working solo, this session will help you start strong, focus your efforts where they matter most, and create a vibrant, purposeful year ahead for your students, staff, and school community.

Important terms and information:

Registrations (made prior to 10am the day before the event) will receive a unique live access link directly from Zoom no later than 10am on the event day and will receive an email link to access the recording.

ASLA Members must be signed in with a profile linked to an active membership for the free registration option to appear.

Although late registrations can not be accepted, the event recording will be made available in the ASLA Online Store shortly after the event, at the advertised (listed above) event prices.
