Description

Libby Hathorn draws on poetry for all her writing, from children’s picturebooks to novels, to libretti. Author of some 80 books over the past 40 years, she was recently given the Lady Cutler Award. NO! NEVER! co-written with her daughter, won the CBCA Picture Book of the Year Award, Early Readers, 2021. Libby received a grant to travel to Japan with illustrator Sadami Konchi to write WE CHILDREN AND THE NARROW ROAD TO THE DEEP NORTH, on haiku poet Basho, launched in Feb 2022 (IPKidz); THE BEST CAT, THE EST CAT, first children’s book to be published by the State Library, NSW, celebrates the archives and was launched in November, 2021. AITSL Teaching Standards: 2.2, 3.4, 6.2 & 6.3 PLEASE NOTE: This counts as Teacher Identified professional learning with NESA and TQI and is NOT accredited. Target audience: All school library staff.
