Ben Rice is the Copyright Law and Policy Adviser for the Australian Libraries Copyright Committee (ALCC). He is a copyright lawyer by training and has worked with the education, GLAM and technology sectors providing copyright advice and government relations strategy. This presentation will provide participants with an update on developments in Australian copyright laws, and will cover recently announced reforms that will provide significant benefits for schools and school libraries. Following the seminar, participants will be able to prepare their schools for the changes that are likely to be introduced by the end of 2021. This webinar meets the standards 4.5, 6.3, 7.1, from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher status.
